Non-profit organization to hold medical outreach program in Tacloban

TACLOBAN CITY - The St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Foundation in Tacloban City is set to hold a free medical and Eye Surgery Mission from November 16 to 19, 2019.


Doctor Mina Gabriel, Managing Director of SMCOF said that the Medical Mission on November 16 to 18 will be held at the SMCOF Office in Avenida Veteranos from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The three-day medical outreach program will have Dentists, Pediatrician, Dermatologist, General Practice Physician, and Ophthalmologist, Gabriel said.

Meantime, the Eye Surgery Mission will be held at the Tacloban City Hospital on November 17 to 19 and will have Eye Specialists conducting free Cataract and Glaucoma operations. Free lenses and medicines will also be available to patients during the eye surgery mission according to SMCOF.






Registration Schedule for the Medical Mission will be held on the morning of the outreach program at the foundation’s office in Tacloban.



On the other hand, Eye Surgery patients are advised to register on November 4 to 12 by calling the following numbers: 0995-366-9155 (GLOBE) and 0949-941-17303 (SMART).

The SMCOF is holding the outreach program in the City in coordination with the City Government of Tacloban through Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez.

SMCOF is a nonprofit company registered in the Philippines since 2010 and its primary purpose is to “protect children especially orphans and provide them their necessary needs.”

The last time the foundation conducted a medical outreach program in the City was in June of this year.
