TACLOBAN CITY - 25 police trainees at Regional Training Center-8 in San Jose, Tacloban City has been tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Pssg Lalaine Rosales, spokesperson of the RTC-PNP, those who tested positive for COVID-19 in are already isolated at the PRO-8 isolation facility.
Of the 25 positive ones, three (3) have symptoms and others are asymptomatic.
Close contacts of those who are positive have been quarantined also.
"More or less may ada kita 600 trainees ngadi pero gin-aassure naton ha public nga waray ini hira mag-mix ha iba nga trainees. (More or less, we have 600 trainees here but we assure the public that they will not be mix with other trainees.)" Rosales said in a report.
Rosales also confirmed that those who tested positive for COVID-19 have not yet been assigned to fieldwork.
“Siguro nakuha ini ha exposure nira ha environment tikang han ira pagkadi ha RTC. (They probably got it due to being exposed on other environments upon going here at RTC.)” Rosales added. iTacloban
