TACLOBAN CITY - Malacañang stressed that the government has already identified Filipinos who will be vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine once it becomes available.
This is according to Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque after Vice President Leni Robredo suggested that the government should prepare a list to avoid the same problems that were encountered during the distribution of aid under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).
Sec. Roque said that they are grateful for this suggestion by VP Robredo and told her that like before, the government has already done what needs to be done, even before the vice president proposed it.
According to Sec. Roque, President Rodrigo Duterte has long said that the poorest will be the first or the beneficiaries of the 4Ps.
He said the government also has a list of frontliners who are also among the first to be vaccinated, such as police, soldiers and medical frontliners.
Malacañang asserted that President Duterte was "10 steps ahead" even before VP Leni's suggestion. iTacloban
