TACLOBAN CITY — A government employee from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) was killed by an unidentified gunman Tuesday morning, February 16, in Apitong, Tacloban City.
The victim was identified as Rodolfo Concillo, 59, a forest technician of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-CENRO in Palo, Leyte.

According to a police report, he was shot about 20 times in various parts of his body just a few meters away from his residence in Barangay Apitong.
It was around 7:30 am on February 16 when Concillo was driving a motorcycle heading to Tacloban's downtown area for his medical check-up when the incident happened.
Local authorities are still conducting an investigation to identify and know the whereabouts of the gunmen.
