TACLOBAN — PAGASA announced on its latest weather bulletin that the low-pressure area (LPA) outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) east of Mindanao has developed into a tropical depression (TD).
The center of the Tropical Depression was estimated based on all available data at 1,675 km East of Mindanao. This LPA may develop into a typhoon in the next three days. It will be named "#BisingPH" once it reaches PAR.
On the forecast track, the Tropical Depression is forecast to move northwestward until tomorrow before slowing down to almost stationary status on Wednesday. Afterward, it is forecast to accelerate west-northwestward and enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Friday or Saturday.
Over the next five days, this tropical cyclone is unlikely to affect any portion of the country.
