TACLOBAN CITY –– A retired police was arrested by authorities in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Tabu, Dulag town in Leyte on Wednesday evening, April 21.
The suspect was identified as Edgar Bautista, 59, a high-value target (HVT).
He was formerly assigned at the Southern Police District and reassigned at Camp Crame until his retirement in 2014, according to an Inquirer report.

Recovered from him are at least 13 sachets of shabu which is worth about P34, 000.
Bautista denied his involvement in illegal drug trade.
