Need to go somewhere in Samar? You can get a ride for free since the LIBRENG SAKAY program now plies the Tacloban-Catbalogan-Catarman routes.
Said program is an initiative of DOTr and LTFRB in cooperation with JM Liner Corporation and LGU Catbalogan. Passengers shall wear protective equipment (face mask, face shield, etc.) and maintain health safety protocols.
Ages 15 and below are not allowed to avail of the said service.
Passengers need to go to terminals in Tacloban City, Catbalogan City, and Catarman, where JM Liner buses are available.
- Tacloban City to Catbalogan City to Catarman (vice versa).
- Catbalogan to Paranas to Buray (vice versa).
Individuals may provide necessary documents to avoid delays in going to the point of their choice, such as health certificate, valid id, qr code, or travel pass.

Libreng Sakay program is for the benefit of the essential workers greatly affected by the pandemic. Other individuals may avail the said service, but make sure that you have an important activity upon going in the said areas to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
