CARAGA (PR) — The leadership of Police Regional Office (PRO)13 condemned in the strongest possible term the New People's Army (NPA) terrorists for the ruthless killing of two police officers in Brgy Antongalon, Butuan City, early morning today, June 15.
PRO13 Director Police Brigadier General ROMEO M CARAMAT JR disclosed that Police Executive Master Sergeant Sherwin Roy P. Cajutol, 42 years old, and Patrolman Nazar A. Libot, 28 years old, both assigned to Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) sustained gunshot wounds in the different parts of their body.
Citing the report from BCPO, the victims were deployed in the area for intelligence monitoring when they were waylaid by around 10 heavily armed NPA members around 6:00 AM.
Weeks ago, an intelligence report was received by the PRO-13 on the plan of the NPA to attack the farm.

"We slam this atrocity that claimed the lives of our police officers. What the NPA showed was a blatant arrogance and disregard for the value of human life. The people hate terrorism. With stronger police-community ties, we will trace them even in their areas of stronghold," RD CARAMAT JR added.
He also ensured that the battle would reach the courtroom by filing murder charges against the culprits.
