TACLOBAN CITY – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) – undertakes repair of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Regional Office VIII building.
The rehabilitation project, in the amount of Php 1.9-million sourced from the General Appropriations Act 2021, mainly involves provision of female lock-up cell, storage area and installation of doors and windows at the ground floor waiting area. The project was targeted to have a total contract duration of 60 days counting from the day it started last March 26, 2021.
The construction concluded on May 24, 2021. As ADE Yuse mentioned, “with the project’s completion, NBI clients will now be able to conveniently process their transactions given a more suitable environment. Also, the rehabilitated building will be a conducive office setting for employees which will help them enhance the delivery of public services.” (DPWH-TCDEO)
