TACLOBAN CITY — A police trainee was declared dead on Wednesday afternoon, June 30, while four (4) others are hospitalized after participating in their supposed" 21k Graduation Run" which was held in Tacloban City.
According to an initial report from PNP Regional Training Center, in a news report by news personality Rommel Rutor, the Police Trainees under Class 2020-04 Alpha-Foxtrot conducted their 21K Graduation Run in the early morning of June 30, 2021.
When the activity ended at 7:50 am, five of the police trainees collapsed. They were immediately brought to PNP Regional Health Service and later transferred to the Leyte Provincial Hospital.
The police trainees were identified as PT Kit Adrian Balais, PT Alro Melvin Ardivilla, PT Japhet Sulibaga, PT Neil John Barcellano, and PT Mark Joseph Petagara, according to a report by Rutor.
While undergoing medical interventions at the LPH, PT Kit Adrian Balais passed out and was pronounced dead by his attending physician at about 1:30PM today.
