The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) – completes construction and celebrates turnover of the three-storey multipurpose building that will function as Integrated Health and Social Services Centre for the northern barangay residents.
The Php 14-million project includes the construction of an 18.23m x 12.70m multipurpose building. It has thirteen (13) rooms with eight (8) rooms at the ground floor area to include the general ward, nurses’ quarters, pre-natal room, nursery room, delivery room, labor/recovery room, consultation area, and storage room.
The second floor consists of three (3) rooms: the conference room, administration office, and laboratory. The third floor is where the multi-purpose hall and housekeeping room are located.
In compliance with safety protocols, the building is also equipped with fire exit and fire safety equipment.

The new District Health Center is situated at GMA Kapuso Village, Brgy. 106 Sto. Niño Tacloban City is one of the designated relocation sites for displaced families affected by Super Typhoon Yolanda.
During this time of health crisis, delivering comprehensive primary health care services to the most vulnerable community is on top priority, making sure that all healthcare services are provided and are easily accessible.
On September 16, 2021, the building was formally bequeathed to the City Health Office through City Health Officer Dr. Gloria Fabrigas who led the turnover with officials from the City Government of Tacloban.
