TACLOBAN CITY — Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez informed the 222 Yolanda Pabahay beneficiaries who received their titles yesterday, September 23, 2021, at St. Francis Village, Tacloban City, that improving their living conditions does not end with owning a property. Instead, additional facilities should be built on the city's northern outskirts.
The mayor also spoke about the new facilities being built in Tacloban North, including a P20 million dry market made possible by Senator Imee Marcos.
He also spoke about how the newly introduced modern public utility vehicles (PUVs) have benefited commuters from the northern barangays and how he has long advocated for a stable water supply in the area.
The City Mayor expressed his delight at seeing the 222 beneficiaries from St. Francis Village 1 & 2, North Hill Arbours 1 & 2, and Villa Diana return to their respective homes as official property owners.
He informed them of his efforts to save them from the fees that national agencies will charge them when they process the documents, in addition to the free notarization provided by the city government, according to a report by the information office.
As part of this, he stated that the remaining 9,000 Yolanda Pabahay titles would be made accessible before the end of 2021, and he urged the relevant offices to expedite the necessary processes. —Tacloban News Update (Source: Tacloban - CIO)
