On Monday, September 6, the Philippine government officially began the pilot run of the VaxCertPH portal for the issuance of digital COVID-19 vaccination certificates in the country, Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque announced during his regular press briefing.
According to the National Task Force Against COVID-19, the initial phase of the VaxCertPH will prioritize requests coming from OFWs and Filipinos. They must be departing from the Philippines for international travel with residence indicating NCR and Baguio City to get a vaccination certificate online.
The VaxCertPH will be opened to the general public and for other purposes later based on the recommendations of the VaxCertPH Sub-TWG to the IATF.
The DICT is directed to ensure that private establishments are given access with the public key to provide a manner for confirming the authenticity of vaccination certificates purportedly obtained using VaxCertPH.
Individuals who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can get their digital vaccination certificates through the VaxCertPH portal at: https://vaxcert.doh.gov.ph/. (Source: National Task Force Against COVID-19)
