TACLOBAN CITY — To comply with health protocols aimed at preventing the spread of COVID, City Mayor Alfred Romualdez signed Executive Order No. 2021-10-038 on October 29, 2021, temporarily closing all cemeteries, columbaria, and memorial parks from October 29 to November 2, 2021.
You may read the following excerpts from the Executive Order:
- From October 29, 2021, to November 2, 2021, all public and private cemeteries, memorial parks, and columbaria shall be closed (with the exception of burial and necrological services).
- Beginning October 23, 2021, a maximum of 50% of the estimated capacity of the cemeteries will be allowed to enter.
- At all times, social distancing and the wearing of facemasks shall be observed.
- No vendors, peddlers, or visitors are permitted on the premises of the aforementioned facilities.
- The Tacloban City Police Office (TCPO) and the Traffic Operation Management Enforcement and Control Office (TOMECO) are tasked with the responsibility of enforcing and monitoring the aforementioned guidelines.

All visitors are required to adhere to minimal health protocols, which include wearing face masks and maintaining physical distancing. Vendors are also prohibited from entering cemeteries. Violators will face appropriate charges. —Tacloban News Update (Source: Tacloban-CIO)
