TACLOBAN CITY —Tacloban's City Government began bringing the inoculation drive to its district health centers to speed up the ongoing vaccination against COVID-19 disease and achieve total protection for its residents.
The city's eight District Health Centers (DHCs), Sagkahan, Diit, Abucay, Tacloban North GMA Health Center, New Kawayan, San Jose, V&G, and the City Health Office (CHO) began administering COVID-19 vaccination doses to priority groups who registered and scheduled appointments through the Tacloban LGU's Safe City portal.
On Thursday, October 14, approximately 320 people in each district receive their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine. This move is part of an ongoing effort to bring vaccination closer to residents, particularly in the city's outlying barangays.
Other vaccination locations for the city-wide COVID-19 vaccination drive organized by the District Health Centers include Robinsons Place Tacloban, Robinsons North Tacloban, USAID Building, New Kawayan Covered Court, Magallanes Public Health Market, and North Villages Family Park Covered Court.
Despite the fact that over 70,000 people have been fully vaccinated, the LGU Tacloban, through the City Health Office, emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and adhering to safety protocols in order to help contain an unwanted surge of cases as the vaccination continues. —Tacloban News Update (Source: Tacloban-CIO)
