TACLOBAN CITY — Dr. Gloria Fabrigas, Acting City Health Officer, stated that the local government is committed to achieving 100-percent vaccination coverage by the end of November this year.
As of Saturday, November 13, Tacloban City had vaccinated approximately 108,560 people, or 61% of its target population, against COVID19. This figure includes the pediatric vaccinations being administered at the Astrodome's Mega Vaccination Center.
Due to increased vaccination efforts, which include expanding vaccination to children and administering vaccines in barangays via mobile vaccination, the health official hopes to reach over 70,000 residents by November 26.
Meanwhile, thousands more people are expected to benefit from the ongoing vaccination drive at the Astrodome.
On November 15, the first doses of Moderna vaccine were administered to A1-A5 and the rest of the population, while Pfizer jabs were administered to those scheduled to receive their second dose but missed it, as well as pediatric vaccinations for children aged 12-17 years old on a first-come, first-served basis. —Tacloban News Update (Source: Tacloban-CIO)
