TACLOBAN CITY — In his message, Pope Francis expresses his deepest sympathies to those who have been separated from their families, as well as to those who have suffered the loss of their homes and property as a result of Typhoon Odette's destruction.
On Twitter, the Pope sent out a brief message to all those who have been affected by the storm.
I express my closeness to the population of the Philippines, struck by a strong typhoon that has caused many deaths and destroyed so many homes. May the “Santo Niño” bring consolation and hope to the families of those most affected. #PrayTogether
