The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) – field officials and personnel are on high alert in anticipation of Typhoon Odette, which is expected to hit the region this week.
Maintenance personnel and crew have been instructed to begin early preparations such as clearing inlets, cleaning lined canals, and trimming and pruning activities to prevent drainage blockage and overflowing of water causing major flooding, as well as any untoward incidents that may occur before, during, and after the typhoon.
