TACLOBAN CITY – The City Government of Tacloban issued a warning on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, about a scam that uses the name of Mayor Alfred Romualdez and the City Mayor's Office for business transactions such as restaurant ordering, service reservations, and such.
"One such incident was the ordering at a restaurant here in the city where the amount of the said malicious transaction amounted to P98,000 in the name of the Mayor's office," according to the city's public information office.
The LGU advised everyone to be cautious and vigilant to avoid these scammers and that if such incidents occur, they should call and report them to the following hotlines:
