TACLOBAN CITY – The Office of Civil Defense 8 (OCD-8) spearheaded a gift-giving and relief distribution activity in Brgy. San Jose, Malitbog, Southern Leyte, led by Regional Director Lord Byron P. Torrecarion on February 12.
From various agencies and organizations, 287 children and 316 families received 100 shelter kits, 300 G.I. sheets, 150 cases of bottled water, 50 portable stoves, butane canisters, family packs, assorted toys, and food packs.
The OCD-led relief operation was joined by agencies and organizations such as the Executive Motorcycle Riding Course (EMCRC) Class 23-2021, the Southern Leyte Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (SLPSWDO), the Office of the President, Hiraya Tacloban, the Knights of Rizal, the Kusog Sinirangan Eagles Club, the Southern Leyte Police Provincial Office (SLPPO), and the Police Regional Office 8. (PRO 8).
The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 8 also took part in the said event, led by Regional Director Arnaldo E. Escober Jr. and Provincial Director Geraldine C. Maquelabit of Southern Leyte; and Maureen Evita S. Balili, MLGOO of Malitbog. —Tacloban News Update (Source: DILG-8)
