TACLOBAN CITY – The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No.8 has successfully turned over one million pesos worth of livelihood assistance to the Magnangoy Duck Raisers Association on February 8, 2022, at Brgy. Magnangoy, Hilongos, Leyte through its West Leyte Field Office.
After receiving 1,000 heads of ducks from DOLE, 54 members of the said association were overjoyed that they could finally pursue their dream duck egg production business. They were also given feed and vitamins to ensure the project's long-term viability.
Cong. Carl Nicolas C. Cari of Leyte's 5th District, Leyte Vice-Governor Carlo P. Loreto, and Hilongos Mayor Albert R. Villahermosa attended the ceremony.
On behalf of Director Henry John S. Jalbuena, WLFO Chief Edgar B. Tabuyan congratulates the members of the association and encourages them to do their best to help the business grow.
"It is always our goal in DOLE that the livelihood projects we give will really flourish and become successful, so please do your best to make this business grow," Mr. Tabuyan said.
