The Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) now provides a comprehensive mobile payment application that allows users to safely and simply pay bills, load mobile phones and tollway RFID accounts, shop online (e-Commerce), and transfer monies at any time and from any location.
In a virtual launch event on 22 April 2022, LANDBANK announced LANDBANKPay, an all-in-one mobile wallet, to further broaden consumer access to financial services and drive broader financial inclusion in the country.
According to LANDBANK President and CEO Cecilia C. Borromeo, LANDBANKPay expands on the larger goal of serving the nation through dependable and convenient digital banking.
The app aligns with LANDBANK's unwavering commitment to increasing access to responsive and affordable financial products and services, particularly for those living in unbanked and underserved areas of the country.
LANDBANKPay Advantages
The initial registration with LANDBANKPay, which simply takes a customer's Mobile Number, full name, and birth date, creates a Small Wallet account with a P20,000 maximum balance limit.
The LANDBANKPay Small Wallet account can be used to perform basic transactions such as balance inquiry, buy load, bill payment to over 800 government and private partner merchants enrolled in the LANDBANK LinkBizPortal, and cash-in via the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App (MBA), LinkBizPortal, LANDBANK Branches, and Agent Banking Partners nationwide.
Small Wallet account holders, like Full Wallet account holders, can request and receive funds.
Customers can obtain a LANDBANKPay Full Wallet account by submitting basic demographic information, uploading a valid government-issued ID, and snapping a "selfie" to validate their identification.
Full Wallet account holders will benefit from an increased maximum balance limit of P50,000 as well as the full range of LANDBANKPay features such as cash-in and cash-out facilities, fund transfers, buying load, online purchases, local cash remittances through the LBPadala, bill payment to over 800 government and private partner merchants enrolled in the LANDBANK LinkBizPortal, and linking of LANDBANK Credit and Prepaid cards.
LANDBANKPay through PhilSys
Under LANDBANK's co-location plan with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for the PhilSys Project roll-outs, the LANDBANKPay was soft-launched in 2021 to offer National ID applicants with cell phones with their own transaction accounts.
As of March 31, 2022, LANDBANK had onboarded more than 7.8 million PhilSys registrants throughout 70 provinces.
LANDBANKPay joins the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App, weAccess, iAccess, Link.BizPortal, and the Electronic Modified Disbursement System as significant digital banking channels (eMDS).
Said app is available for free download from the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store to all users, including those who do not already have a LANDBANK account. —Tacloban News Update (Source: Landbank)
