TACLOBAN CITY – On April 11th, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) began delivering "Libreng Sakay" to frontline healthcare workers (HCWs) and Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APORs) across the country.
In Tacloban City, the GC GODIE INC. and PARADISE TRANSPORT COOPERATIVE were the first to deliver "Libreng Sakay," under Phase 3 of the Service Contracting Program (SCP), for HCWs and APOR on Monday, April 18.

Currently, the Libreng Sakay program serves the following routes in Tacloban City:
- GC GODIE INC: Tacloban to Tagpuro and vice versa with 16 modernized PUJ units; and
- PARADISE TRANSPORT COOPERATIVE: Tacloban to Babatngon and vice versa with 15 Traditional PUJ Units.
It is expected that in the coming days, more and more operators will participate in SCP Phase III to provide free public transportation services to passengers. —Tacloban News Update (Source: LTFRB-8)
