| The Civil Service Commission in Region 8 announced today that applications will be accepted in June for examinations to be held on August 7, 2022. |
TACLOBAN CITY – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) in the Eastern Visayas Region announced on Thursday, May 26, that an eligibility examination for interested examinees in the region will be held on August 7, 2022.
It will be held in five locations in Eastern Visayas, according to CSC-Region 8, which are: Catbalogan City, Borongan City, Naval, Biliran, Tacloban City, and Maasin City.
Professional and sub-professional eligibility will be determined by the career service examination-pen and paper test (CSE-PPT).
Starting June 2, 2022, all applications must be submitted ONLINE on a FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED basis by signing up at https://ocseas.csc.gov.ph/roviii/client/login. All interested applicants for the said examination are advised to ensure compliance with the steps provided by CSC.
Civil service eligibility is required for entry into government service with a permanent position.
Eligibility can be achieved by passing the civil service examination or a board examination, as allowed for in Republic Act 1080, as modified, which declares that examinations given by the several government boards of examiners are considered civil service examinations. —Tacloban News Update
