TACLOBAN CITY – Commuters in Villareal, Samar, and Tacloban City can expect more comfortable rides after the launch of eight modern public utility vehicles (PUV) this week.
Villareal Transport Cooperative (VTC) and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region 8 launched eight modern PUVs as part of the PUV Modernization Program (PUVMP) on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Rizal Park in Tacloban City.
The new PUVs will run between Tacloban City and Villareal and vice versa.
Members and officials of Villareal Transport Cooperative, led by chairman Nora A. Lababo, expressed gratitude to government agencies and private institutions that assisted their transportation cooperative in acquiring new vehicles under the PUVMP.
