TACLOBAN – Police arrested a suspected drug pusher on Friday night, June 3, and seized sachets of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 60-Aslum Sagkaham, Tacloban City.
Tacloban City Police Office - Police Station 1 (TCPO-PS1) police reported Saturday that anti-narcotics operatives nabbed a certain "Roher," at around 6:59 p.m. This suspect is classified as a street-level individual (SLI), is 37 years old, and resides in the said barangay.
However, one suspect with the alias "ROK" evaded arrest.
The successful operation was carried out by joint elements of SDEU TCPO-PS1, led by PLt Anulfo Abayan, under the direct supervision of PCpt Concas Castello, OIC, in collaboration with PS2-SDEU, led by PLt Rey Baldicano Jr., and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 8.
Authorities were able to seize one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu purchased from the suspect for Php 1,000; two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one subscribed 500 peso bill with serial number CH403947; and one P500 bill (bogus money).
Confiscated drug items weigh more or less 1 gram and have an estimated street value of Php 6,000.00.
The suspect is in police custody and will face formal charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. —iTacloban
