TACLOBAN CITY – Seven (7) backhoe/loader units worth Php 5.488-Million each were delivered and turned over to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Equipment Management Division (EMD) on July 5, 2022.
According to DPWH 8 Regional Director Allan S. Borromeo, the acquired land-based equipment is intended to supplement the DPWH Regional Office 8's existing equipment fleet for maintenance and construction activities.
"These can also be utilized as a quick response in case of imminent danger brought by natural disasters and other calamities", the DPWH 8 Official added.
Engr. Alex S. Dagalea, Chief of EMD, also revealed that a 2-day training on the proper handling and operation of the brand-new equipment followed.
