President and CEO of the Social Security System (SSS) Michael G. Regino announced on Monday that digitizing the pension fund's services will remain a top priority in the coming years.
PCEO Regino stated that as online transactions become the new norm, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, the SSS intends to expand the services available through its online channels, including the My.SSS Portal, SSS Mobile App, Text-SSS, uSSSap Tayo Portal, and Self-service Express Terminals.
"In 2021, 43.52 million or 82.7 percent of the 52.62 million transactions we received, excluding inquiries, were made through our online channels," Regino said.
Currently, the My.SSS Portal provides convenient access to over 30 member services and over 20 employer services. These services include membership, contributions, loan granting and repayment, and benefit disbursements, among other things. Some of these services are also available via other SSS online channels.
"Because the My.SSS Portal is our primary online channel, nearly all new online services are made available here first. However, increased efforts are being made to make the services in this portal available in the SSS Mobile App for smartphone users," according to Regino.
"We are gradually implementing online transactions as a requirement for our programs." However, those who lack the personal means to transact with us online may use the e-Centers in our branches," he concluded.
The uSSSap Tayo Portal at https://crms.sss.gov.ph; and SSS' social media accounts at "Philippine Social Security System - SSS" for Facebook, "mysssph" for Instagram and YouTube, and "PHLSSS" for Twitter provide information about SSS online services, including how-to guides. The SSS also has a Viber group called "MySSSPH Updates."
