TACLOBAN CITY – Another barangay road in North Tacloban has been paved with concrete, thanks to the continued collaboration of the City Government of Tacloban and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
With a budget of P4.8 million, the barangay road can be found on the left side of the national highway (if heading to Babatngaon town) in Barangay Cabalawan.
Several posts already stand along this barangay road, which will act as foundations for the solar street lights that will be installed to make the road and this area of the barangay visible at night.
Before the road was paved, the pathway here was covered in mud if it rained, making it difficult for residents to pass through this area.
Meanwhile, residents ask that this area not be turned into a parking lot for cars because doing so will make it difficult for people and those who own cars to pass this road. —iTacloban
