Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) — Farmers can now easily transport their agricultural products to markets while saving time and money on transportation costs, thanks to the TCDEO's completion of the farm-to-market road in Brgy. 100 San Roque, Tacloban City, on July 17, 2022.
“Aside from expediting the transportation of agricultural products, this farm-to-market road will enhance the passage of vehicles and commuters and will speed up essential government services to remote areas.” Assistant District Engineer, Engr. Rebecca G. Yuse said in a statement.
According to the DPWH-Tacloban City District Engineering Office, the farm-to-market road has been paved with a.460 linear kilometers (.230 ln. km. on each lane), two-lane concrete cement pavement that includes an 80-meter stone masonry and a lined canal of 460 linear meters (230 on each lane) that began on March 24, 2022, with a total contract amount of Php 11,871,386 funded under the Department of Agriculture-Farm to Market.
