TACLOBAN CITY – Farmers will soon be able to transport their agricultural products to markets while spending less time and money on transportation costs, thanks to the completion of 90% of the farm-to-market road in Brgy. 93 Bagacay, Tacloban City, by the Department of Public Works and Highways-Tacloban City District Engineering Office (DPWH-TCDEO).

The project, which has a total contract value of Php 11,936,999.97 under the Department of Agriculture-Farm to Market (DA-FMR) for the Calendar Year 2022, is a road opening that includes a 1.24 lane kilometers Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP) and a 120 lane kilometers Rip-Rap.
Farm-to-Market Roads (FMRs) connect farms to urban markets, increasing mobility of people, commuters, commodities, and services, as well as access to job opportunities and basic social services such as schools and medical facilities. (DPWH-TCDEO)
