TACLOBAN CITY – A team of engineers from the Department of Public Works and Highways-Tacloban City District Engineering Office roamed the roads of Tacloban City as they carried out a citywide Walk-the-Line Inspection on October 15-16, 2022.
The said inspection was done in accordance with a memo dated October 5, 2022, that stated the Inspectorate Team of the Road Condition Monitoring and Evaluation Division from the Bureau of Maintenance (BOM) was scheduled to conduct the CY 2022 2nd Semester Walk-the-Line Inspection/Validation beginning on October 13, 2022.
“Ine nga Walk-the-Line bagat nag iinspect ine hit bugos na jurisdiction hit usa ka District tapos kikitaion kun mayda mga defects or deficiencies hit atun kadalanan” (In the Walk-the-Line inspection, the entire jurisdiction of a certain District is inspected to see if there are defects of deficiencies in our roads) District Maintenance Engineer, Section Chief of the Maintenance Section, Engr. Marichu T. Eduarte explained.
She also added that the inspection was supervised by a team composed of an inspector from the Bureau of Maintenance (BOM), Engr. Vincent Andrew D. Amores, the Regional Maintenance Point Person (RMPP), Engr. Vincent P. Villamor, three District Maintenance Point person, namely, Engr. Mary Grace L. Gaddi, Engr. Rey R. Jecino, and Engr. Elizar Jerome T. Baclea-an, and Section Chief of the Maintenance Section, Engr. Marichu T. Eduarte.
“Crucial ine hiya buhaton na Walk-the-Line inspection para masigurado na it mga maintenance projects hit atun district strictly adhere to the standards set by our department” (It is crucial to carry out this kind of inspection to ensure that the district's maintenance projects strictly adhere to the standards set by our department.)
