TACLOBAN CITY – The Department of Public Works and Highways-Tacloban City District Engineering Office (DPWH-TCDEO) conducts an inspection of the drainage system project along Leyte-Samar Road via Guintigui-an, led by the OIC-Chief of Construction Section, Rhea M. Perez, and her staff, in accordance with the responsibility of providing quality public infrastructure.
The drainage system project, with a total contract amount of Php 2,252,636.12, is a construction of a Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert (RCBC) with a length of 1.25 meters and a height of 1.25 meters funded by the General Appropriations Act of 2022.
Furthermore, the manhole being built has a span of 1.25 meters, a height of 2.8 meters, and a width of one meter. The drainage system's physical goal is 64 linear meters.
One of the drainage system's functions is to collect surface and/or groundwater and divert it away from the substructure, preventing erosion, saturation, and loss of load-bearing capacity and stability. (DPWH-TCDEO)
