TACLOBAN CITY – A team of Engineers from the Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) Construction Section joined the Quality Assurance Unit Inspectors from the Central Office in their inspection of five DEO projects on November 10, 2022.
The inspection was conducted per Department Order No. 132, S. of 2019, which specifies that the District projects to be evaluated include those implemented by Project Management, Regional, and District Offices.
Engrs. Reyboy D. Lantajo, Mark Rodlly T. Hipona, Charlie B. Tampil, and Ronnel Y. Abril from the TCDEO's aided the Quality Assurance Unit team's conduct of quality audit, namely, Engr. Mariz B. Mansibang and Engr. Kate Paula P. Tolentino from the Bureau of Research and Standards.
One of the projects to be audited is the Rehabilitation of Road, including Drainage System at Calanipawan Road to 11th Drive-El Salvador St.-Switzerland Street, Brgy. 109-A, Tacloban City, and the Construction of Shore Protection at Old Road Sagkahan, Tacloban City, for which TCDEO Engineers will provide the necessary project details to the inspectors.
Furthermore, a quality audit was performed on the following projects: the construction or improvement of access roads on the Diit-San Roque Road leading to La Villa Francisco Mountain Resort, the construction/upgrading/rehabilitation of drainage along national roads, particularly the Daang Maharlika Road (San Juanico Bridge), and the rehabilitation of the Tacloban Convention Center in Tacloban City.
The QAU team held an Exit Conference on November 11, 2022, at 10 a.m. inside the Construction Section Office, where they discussed their findings, key suggestions, and recommendations to improve the Office's work and projects.
