President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., will promote the Philippines as a partner not just of ASEAN countries, but of the entire world.
This was President Marcos' statement before departing for Cambodia today, November 9, to attend the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits, which will take place from tomorrow (November 10) until this coming Sunday (November 13).
It will be the first time the countries will meet again after the three-year pandemic, so the President believes this meeting is important for all member countries.
According to the President, the Philippines' participation in the summit will promote and protect the country's interests in ASEAN. Regional cooperation will be emphasized in maritime security, climate change, food security, health cooperation, and economic recovery.
The meeting, according to the President, will be an excellent opportunity for the Philippines to form new alliances and strengthen existing ones.
PBBM also said that he is looking forward to seeing and greeting his fellow countrymen in Cambodia and that he plans to meet with them in the coming days.
Not only as a hub for investment and tourism but also as a global partner for ASEAN member countries and for all of the countries that will be present. The President has guaranteed that he will promote the interests and image of the country during his tenure as leader of the nation.
