Unselfish service members from the Navy lend their hands to help landslide victims in Purok 3, Bunu-an Catbalogan City, Samar, and Brgy Esperanza, San Ricardo, Southern Leyte.
They also helped the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 7 (DSWD-7) with repacking relief goods and relief operations in typhoon-affected barangays and municipalities.
Similarly, navy reservists from 511 NSR assisted the DSWD7 in the repacking of relief goods at DSWD Tingub, Mandaue City, Cebu, and in the distribution of relief goods to typhoon-affected barangays and municipalities.
"You display the best example of naval service, and you really serve as our frontliners and force multiplier in the area, especially these trying times for HADR operations. Let us sustain to be relevant in the Visayas Region," said Commodore Florante Gagua PN, Commander of Naval Forces Central.
The Visayas Command, through Naval Forces Central, is collaborating with local governments and other stakeholders to provide prompt, responsive, and effective assistance to communities affected by Tropical Storm "Paeng."
