As the holiday season approaches, the Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) reminds its customers and the general public to be on the lookout for scams involving links that promise gifts or prizes.
These scams are intended to dupe people into disclosing personal information or trick them into installing malware on their devices.
The state bank warned in a statement that these types of scams are becoming more common and urged people to be wary of links that promise to give a gift or prize simply by clicking on the link.
The LBP recommends that you never click on these links and that you delete them immediately.
It is also important to be cautious and protect yourself during the holiday season and beyond. This includes being cautious of links and emails from unknown sources and regularly updating your security software to prevent malware from being downloaded onto your device.
If you suspect any suspicious activities or transactions, you may report it to LBP's customer service hotline at 02) 8-405-7000 or 1-800-10-405-7000 (PLDT Domestic Toll-Free Number) or email customercare@mail.landbank.com. (Source: PIA)
