Ninety-two (92%) of adult Filipinos approved of the government's response to COVID-19, according to OCTA Research. |
According to a recent survey conducted by OCTA Research, an overwhelming majority of Filipinos support the measures taken by the Marcos administration to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the Philippines.
The TUGON NG MASA (TNM) Fourth Quarter 2022 Survey Results on the National Government's Response to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 found that 92% of adult Filipinos approved of the national government's efforts.
This approval rating significantly increased from the previous TNM survey, which found that 82% of Filipinos approved the government's response in March 2022. The approval rating has also increased across all major areas and socioeconomic classes.
The survey was conducted from October 23 to 27, 2022, and had a sample size of 1,200 male and female probability respondents aged 18 and above from class AB, C, D, and E homes. The survey had a margin of error of 3%.
These findings are encouraging, indicating that the Marcos administration's efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the Philippines have been largely effective and well-received by the public. The government must continue prioritizing the health and safety of its citizens, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves and poses new challenges.
It is also important for the general public to remain vigilant and follow recommended guidelines, such as wearing masks, washing hands frequently, and practicing social distancing, to help protect themselves and others.
The results of this survey indicate that the Marcos administration's efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the Philippines have been successful and well-received by the public. We hope that this trend continues as we work to overcome the pandemic's challenges.
