Smart Communications, one of the leading telecommunications companies in the Philippines, has launched a SIM card registration portal for new and existing prepaid, Bro, and TNT subscribers. The portal, available at https://smart.com.ph/simreg, will allow customers to register their SIM cards for free starting December 27.
New SIM cards will require SIM registration before activation starting on that date. The following information will be collected: full name, birthday, sex, present or official address, and ID and ID number. Customers must also complete a liveness check or provide a selfie photo for validation.
Enterprise customers will also be notified and asked to confirm their registration through authorized signatories.
In addition to providing their full name and present or official address, businesses and organizations will be asked to provide their business name, address, and the full name of an authorized signatory.
