TACLOBAN CITY – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Leyte First District Engineering Office (DEO) has successfully completed the construction of a multi-purpose building (MPB) in Brgy. Lourdes, Alangalang, Leyte.

Despite some delays caused by adverse weather conditions, the multi-purpose building is fully operational and can be used for various recreational activities.
The building provides the local communities with a reliable public space that can be used to deliver government services. District Engineer Adelfa A. Bonifacio stated, “In times of calamities, the covered court may also serve as an evacuation center for Barangay Lourdes and its neighboring barangays, providing shelter and security to affected individuals.”
In addition to completing this project, the DPWH also announced the Concreting of Farm-To-Market Road Phase II in Brgy. Malaguinabot to Brgy. Capilihan, San Miguel, Leyte, has been substantially completed and will soon be available.
