TACLOBAN CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Eastern Visayas aims to add 73,252 new households to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) for the Set 12 Registration in 2023.
The registration is intended to replace graduated or exited households from the program, which has been institutionalized through DSWD MC No. 12 series 2019. The new beneficiaries are potential poor households identified through the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) or Listahanan.
From January 16 to 25, 2023, the DSWD Field Office VIII conducted orientation for City and Municipal Local Government Units (LGU) on the planning of the validation and registration activities, which include community assemblies.

The information drive and posting of the list of potential households will occur from January 16 to 30, 2023, in each barangay or municipality. The community assembly, which will assess potential households for eligibility, will take place from January 31 to February 28, 2023.
This move by the DSWD Eastern Visayas aims to ensure that all eligible poor households in the region are given access to the 4Ps program, which provides cash transfers to eligible households to improve their health, nutrition, and education.
With the Set 12 Registration, more households in the region will have the opportunity to benefit from the program and break the cycle of poverty. —iTacloban
