President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is confident that the Philippines is on the path to economic prosperity. On Monday, he addressed the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028 Forum in Pasay City, where he shared his optimism for the country's future.
The PDP is the government's blueprint for socioeconomic development over the next six years. It is part of President Marcos' 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda, which aims to tackle short-term issues and medium-term constraints to rapid growth and inclusion.
In his speech, President Marcos stressed the importance of a whole-of-nation approach in effectively implementing the PDP.
He encouraged all Filipinos to work together to create a more prosperous and inclusive society.
The PDP was formulated through extensive consultation with government agencies, local government units, development partners, sectoral experts, the private sector, stakeholder groups, and the general public.
President Marcos believes that the success of the government and the nation lies in collaboration and cooperation. He stated, "Let us channel our energies into creating an economy that works for everyone and gives every Filipino, no matter their circumstances, a better life."
The PDP is also aligned with the AmBisyon Natin 2040, the Filipino people's vision for the long-term future. —iTacloban (Source: PIA)
