TACLOBAN CITY – Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Poice General Rodolfo Santos Azurin Jr., visited the Police Regional Office (PRO) 8 in Palo, Leyte, on March 28, 2023, for his first Command Visit.
He graced and led a series of activities, including the Culmination of the 2023 National Women's Month celebration and the Awarding of the Top 10 Most Outstanding Policewomen of PRO 8.
The awardees were Police Major Jennifer L. Medalla, Police Captain Maja C. Berenguel, Police Captain Verna O. Cesista, Police Lieutenant Ma. Rosa C. Copino, Police Lieutenant Joyce Ann M. Kharil, PEMS Alma C. Advincula, Police Staff Sergeant Venus G. Abrigo, PSSg Mary Jane G Villezar, PSSg Rusella Mari D Austria, and PCpl Geraldine B Padoga.
During the visit, the PNP Chief expressed his appreciation for the dedication, commitment, and excellence displayed by the men and women of PRO 8, which contributed to the region's success in its campaign against all forms of criminality, illegal drugs, and terrorism.
