TACLOBAN CITY – The Philippine Air Force (PAF) in Eastern Visayas has opened its doors to young Filipinos interested in joining military service. The PAF is now accepting applications for Officer Candidate Course (PAFOCC) Class 2024 and Special Enlistment (SE) CY 2023 aspirants, providing opportunities for those aspiring to become PAF officers.
PAFOCC and SE are comprehensive training programs designed to develop leadership, professionalism, patriotism, and technical competence in aviation.
The application period for PAFOCC and SE will run from Tuesday, April 25, 2023, until May 8, 2023. Applicants must submit their application forms and requirements at HTOG 8, DZR Airport, San Jose, Tacloban City, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Applicants must download the application form from the PAF website or obtain it at HTOG 8. They must fill out the form legibly or electronically and affix their signature using a ball or sign pen, preferably in blue or black ink.

The following requirements must be submitted:
- PSA Issued Birth Certificate (Original and Photocopy)
- Transcript of Records (TOR) and Form 137 for Senior High School Graduates (Original and Authenticated by School Registrar)
- Certification from the School Registrar (If the Applicant is a graduating student or new graduate)
- Diploma (Original and Authenticated by School Registrar)
- 2 pcs latest 2x2 ID picture in white background
- Certificate from the National Commission of Indigenous People (NCIP) duly signed by the Regional Director (only for Indigenous People members)
- VALID AFPSAT IRF (for applicants who took AFPSAT in the Philippine Army and Philippine Navy) (Note: AFPSAT is valid only for three years from the date of examination)
- Applicants who previously passed the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) taken from any branch of service, such as the Philippine Army and Philippine Navy, shall bring the original and photocopy of their valid Individual Report Form (IRF) and shall only take the PAF General Classification Test (PAFGCT)
Licensed criminologists are exempted from taking the qualifying exam. They must submit a fully accomplished PAF application form processed by the PAF processing center and have undergone the limited physical exam, transcript of records and diploma, PSA issued birth certificate, criminologist licensure examination rating from PRC, PRC ID (must be valid and not expired), certification of government services (if applicable), certificate of work experience related to criminology (if applicable), seminars/training (if any) associated with the practice of criminology, and awards/recognition (if any) related to the practice of criminology.
