TACLOBAN CITY – As the upcoming Holy Week approaches, the Tacloban City Police Office (TCPO) is ramping up their efforts to ensure the safety and security of residents and visitors.
TCPO's Information Officer, Police Major Marjorie Manuta, told Bombo Radyo that police officers will be deployed to key locations around the city this Holy Week, including popular pilgrimage sites like Calvary Hills in Siren District, Caibaan, and Nula-Tula.
To ensure the safety of everyone, the police presence won't be limited to religious sites. In addition to Calvary Hills, officers will also be stationed at churches, airports, bus terminals, and other major establishments.
This extensive deployment is intended to ensure the safety and security of everyone in Tacloban City during this busy and significant time.
To make travel safer, road marshals will be present around the city to monitor traffic conditions. They will ensure that vehicles move smoothly and without incident, especially during the high traffic of Holy Week.
The police also urge residents and visitors to take extra precautions when visiting Calvary Hills or any other religious sites. They recommend keeping valuables out of sight and not displaying them in public. Families are also encouraged to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before embarking on their journey. —iTacloban (Source: Bombo Radyo)
