TACLOBAN CITY – The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) has confirmed that the Philippine National Police (PNP) entrance and promotional examinations will be conducted nationwide on June 17 and 18, 2023. The exams aim to identify and promote qualified individuals within the police force.
The PNP entrance examination is open to all Filipino citizens between 21 and 30 years old with bachelor's degrees. Successful examinees will be conferred police eligibility, a requirement for appointment to the rank of Patrolman/Patrolwoman in the PNP.
On the other hand, the PNP Promotional Examinations (PromEx) are designed exclusively for qualified uniformed PNP personnel who meet the minimum qualification standards for rank and eligibility. The PromEx covers four Eligibility Rank Coverage (ERC) categories: Police Officer 4th Class (Police Corporal to Police Staff Sergeant), Police Officer 3rd Class (Police Master Sergeant to Police Executive Master Sergeant), Police Officer 2nd Class (Police Lieutenant to Police Captain), and Police Officer 1st Class (Police Major and Police Lieutenant Colonel).
Passing the PromEx grants the police eligibility necessary for promotion within the specified ranks of the ERC.
Interested applicants can register for the exams online from May 8 to 18, 2023, by visiting the NAPOLCOM Online Registration Information System (NORIS) at https://napolcom-noris.org/. Upon validation of their application, examinees will have a 48-hour window to pay the examination fee. The payment schedule has been set for May 8 to 20, 2023.
NAPOLCOM encourages all eligible candidates to take advantage of the online registration and participate in the upcoming examinations to advance their careers within the PNP. —iTacloban (with reports from PIA)
