TACLOBAN CITY – The Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas (CGDEV) has been working diligently to prepare for the upcoming Ormoc and Tacloban City Fiesta Celebration 2023.
With the event expected to draw a large number of locals and tourists, the Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas has placed itself on blue alert status to ensure the safety of all those in attendance.
Starting on June 26, 2023, and running through July 1, 2023, CGDEV has increased its patrols, personnel presence, and surveillance in the coastal areas surrounding Ormoc and Tacloban City.
By doing so, they aim to prevent overcrowding and maritime accidents that may occur during the fiesta celebration. Additionally, they are prepared to respond promptly to any emergency situations that may arise.
Under the leadership of CG Commo Romeo Pulido Jr., CGDEV is committed to its duty to serve and protect the people and its waters. —iTacloban
