The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has launched the eGov PH Super App in a ground-breaking move to improve citizen access to government services. This comprehensive platform combines a wide range of government services, ensuring users have a smooth and efficient experience.
Under its first deployment phase, the eGov PH Super App offers a diverse array of services. These include the National Digital ID, National Government Services, Tourism and eTravel, Electronic Payments (eGovPay) and Banking Services, eReceipt, eLGU, Jobs and Manpower (eJobs), Philippine Startup Empowerment Program, Philippine Investment Program, SIM Card Registration, and People's Feedback Mechanism (eReport).
During the regional launch celebration of the 2023 National Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Month at Bulacan State University, DICT Regional Director Antonio Edward Padre encouraged young people to share the benefits of the eGov PH Super App with older individuals unfamiliar with ICT technologies.
The app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store (for Android) and the Apple Store (for iOS). However, users must authenticate or validate their accounts using the Philippine Identification System ID to access its features.
Director Padre assured the public that the app has undergone a rigorous preliminary audit conducted by resident cybersecurity experts from the agency, ensuring its security and reliability.
DICT has collaborated with 26 government agencies to develop and integrate their services into the app.
These agencies include the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Tourism, LandBank of the Philippines, Government Service Insurance System, Social Security System, Mindanao Development Authority, Provincial Government of Isabela, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and Land Transportation Office.
Other partners in this initiative include the Department of Foreign Affairs, Anti-Red Tape Authority, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bureau of Treasury, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Transportation, Department of Public Works and Highways, Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), National Printing Office, Council for the Welfare of Children, Maritime Industry Authority, Philippine Commission on Women, Credit Information Corporation, National Commission for Senior Citizens, Philippine Economic Zone Authority, and Commission on Higher Education.
The eGov PH Super App represents a significant leap towards digital governance, fostering convenience, efficiency, and transparency in public service delivery. With its user-friendly interface and a wide range of integrated services, the app aims to empower citizens and revolutionize how they interact with the government. —iTacloban
