TACLOBAN CITY – City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) is actively calling on groups to participate as merrymakers in the highly anticipated Sangyaw Parade of Lights, scheduled for June 29. The annual fiesta spectacle, known for its lively atmosphere, will be enhanced by the addition of enthusiastic participants.
Interested groups can register at the CTOO office at Plaza Rizal, where they can display their energy and creativity. The most dynamic and animated groups among the participants stand a chance to win a generous cash prize of 15,000 pesos for first place, while the second and third-place winners will receive 10,000 and 8,000 pesos, respectively.
Being part of the merrymakers promises an exhilarating experience and the chance to be acknowledged for their vibrant contribution to the festival.
In addition to the merrymakers, the Sangyaw Festivities are also inviting both amateur and professional videographers, as well as photographers, to capture the enchanting moments of the event. By showcasing their skills and artistic vision, they can win remarkable prizes.
The champion of the video competition will receive 30,000 pesos, the second-place winner will be awarded 20,000 pesos, and the third-place contestant will take home 10,000 pesos. More information regarding the video and photo competitions of the Sangyaw Festival will be provided soon.
