The Kalayaan Job Fair goes beyond simply connecting jobseekers with employers. It also features a One Stop Shop of government agencies, offering various frontline services to assist jobseekers in their employment journey.
Attendees will have access to various resources and support, ensuring a holistic approach to job hunting.
Moreover, the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region 8 will provide free skills demonstrations during the event. Attendees can learn practical skills such as haircutting, manicure/pedicure, and massage, enhancing their employability and widening their career options.
In addition to the job fair, the DOLE-8, through its North Leyte Field Office, will also celebrate the World Day Against Child Labor by organizing Project Angel Tree activities. Coordinated with the Regional Council Against Child Labor (RCACL), this initiative aims to support child laborers and their families through gift-giving and orientation on youth employment programs. —iTacloban (Source: DOLE-8)
